One month detention for the Chief Executive Officer, and Finance Director of the IMC
One month of detention has been assigned to the Chief Executive Officer, and director of finance and administration of the Independent Media Commission (IMC) on suspicion of bribery.
“The Basic Court in Prishtina - the Department of Serious Crimes has decided regarding the request of the Basic Prosecution in Prishtina, to impose detention on defendants A.B. and L.L. due to the grounded suspicion that in co-perpetration they committed the criminal offense of ‘Bribery’ from Article 421 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 31 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo. The pre-trial judge approved as grounded the request of the state prosecutor for the imposition of detention on remand against the defendants A.B. and L.L., and has imposed on them the measure of detention on remand for a period of one (1) month for each separately, pursuant to Article 187 paragraph 1 article sub paragraph 1.1 and 1.2 point 1.2.1 and 1.2.3 of the CPCRK”, reads the press release of the Basic Court in Prishtina.
