Kosovo continues to lag behind in attracting foreign direct investment, as in recent years, it has not brought in any major strategic investors. Lack of rule of law and promotion of economic policies, accompanied by a bad image of the country, have influenced investors not to see Kosovo as an attractive place for investment. Authorities say there is an increase in investment, but experts warn that they are not enough and the executive should focus on attracting investment in sectors such as manufacturing and information technology.

Although, according to the Central Bank of Kosovo (CBK), this year, in the period January-July, foreign investment has reached 230 million euros, or 56 million more than the same period of 2020, NGOs in the country say that these investments are not satisfactory and stable for economic development...
