Nagavci tells if there will be subsidies for textbooks this year as well
The Minister of Education, Arbërie Nagavci, has not provided details on whether parents will be subsidized for the purchase of textbooks for the year 2024-2025. In the Committee for Oversight of Public Finances, the MP from the ranks of AAK, Albana Bytyqi, said that the payments for the last year for the books caused chaos, and for this reason a Parliamentary Inquiry Committee was established.
Bytyqi called Nagavci one of the most failed ministers in the Kurti Government. While reporting to this committee, Nagavci reacted by saying that "there was no scandal".
Minister Nagavci said that parents will be informed in time regarding the subsidy for the purchase of school textbooks for this year.
During the review of the Performance Audit Report "Modernization of the Education System in Kosovo through e-Education", at the Committee meeting it was said that Kosovo paid a loan of over 5 million euros for the education digitization project that is not functional.
