More than 300 witnesses in the case against "Thaçi and others"; the time to interview them is a concern

In the preparation conference in the case against Thaçi and others, the Specialist Prosecutor’s Office announced that it will call over 300 witnesses. In this conference, the SPO stated that it does not intend to reduce the charges at this point in time, while adding that it intends to present evidence related to each alleged crime scene. Whereas, the trial panel has once again expressed concern about the time that the prosecution has requested for its case, which reaches up to 700 hours.

Presiding Judge Charles L Smith has said that they have asked the prosecution to carefully consider the possibility of reducing its case.

He added that the trial panel is of the opinion that 700 hours for the questions of SPO witnesses is too much time...
