Montenegro promises support for Kosovo towards NATO membership

The Minister of Defense of Montenegro, Rasko Konjevic, has said that Montenegro supports Kosovo on its path towards membership in NATO and the European Union. He was received with a state ceremony by the Minister of Defense, Armend Mehaj, who reiterated Kosovo's aim for membership in international security organizations as soon as possible.

The Minister of Defense of Kosovo has asked his Montenegrin counterpart for support in order for Kosovo to become a full member of the Adriatic Charter as soon as possible, an initiative launched in 2003 by then aspiring countries to join NATO, such as Albania, Croatia and North Macedonia, known as A-3, and that five years later Montenegro and Bosnia Herzegovina joined them, transforming into the A-5 initiative, that increases the interaction between these countries and the adoption of NATO standards through joint exercises and cooperation activities of the respective units...
