In the framework of the National Martyrs' Day in the Municipality of Deçan, the mayor of the Municipality of Deçan, Bashkim Ramosaj, said that this municipality sacrificed pious people for the freedom of Kosovo, therefore, according to him, it is a civic obligation for the economic development of Deçan and Kosovo.

In the solemn session commemorating the heroes and martyrs of the nation from this municipality, the mayor Ramosaj said that without the sacrifice of the martyrs, Kosovo would not have freedom and would not be a state.

Meanwhile, the president of AAK, Ramush Haradinaj, said that the only way to guarantee our inviolable existence is for Kosovo to join NATO.

Likewise, the Chairman of the Assembly of the Municipality of Deçan, Hajdar Sutaj, has added that the increase in violence against Albanians during the 80s and 90s highlights a generation that was convinced that the only way to send our country to freedom and independence is the war, which is known as the Kosovo Liberation Army.

After the end of the session of the Assembly, the leaders of the municipality paid tribute to the statues of the martyrs, Luan Haradinaj, Mentor Tolaj, Sali Çeku and Beg Rizaj.
