March 7, the Albanian Teacher's Day
Teacher's Day is a holiday dedicated to the educational staff of schools and universities.
This date has an early origin, which reminds you of the first foundations of the Albanian school, in fact it has started to be remembered, since the 1960s, when the Albanian state decided that this day should be a holiday commemorating the foundation of the first School Albanian of Korça, which was founded on March 7, 1887.
The Teacher's Day at the national level serves to appreciate the best traditions of the Albanian school, without a doubt the honorable figure of the teacher, but also all education workers as educators of the new generation and as active contributors to the development and progress of Albanian society.
Until the beginning of the 90s in Albania, in order to promote teaching of the highest possible quality, the most popular teachers were awarded with the high decorations that were Meritorious Teacher and People's Teacher.
