Major General Angelo Michele Ristuccia appointed the new commander of KFOR
KFOR command was handed over to a new commander today. The 27th commander of KFOR is the Italian major general, Angelo Michele Ristuccia.
At the ceremony of the change of command of
KFOR, the major general of the Hungarian army, who until today was the
commander of KFOR, Ferenc Kajari expressed his surprise at how quickly the time
has passed since he took this position and how much they have achieved.
" With that in mind, I think I can
safely say that my job as COM KFOR could never have been as successful, if it
were not for the outstanding and selfless service of the KFOR staff and the
subordinated units. I had tremendous support from the Regional Commands, both
East and West. The cooperation between them and the Headquarters was, and still
is outstanding. KFOR's eyes and ears, the ISR Battalion always had a special
place for me, being from the Intelligence field. I was very proud to see them
prosper, and we were able to make timely decisions based on their reports,"
said Ristuccia.
