The executive director of the Çohu Movement, Arton Demhasaj, tells KosovaPress that as long as no solution is given to the issue of the dinar, there will be no discussion on the full implementation of the Brussels and Ohrid agreement.
According to him, the governors were wrong for not listening to the advice of the Americans to postpone this decision, until now they are expected to discuss this topic in Brussels at the level of chief negotiators.
On the other hand, the political scientist, Albinot Maloku, tells KosovaPress that Lajcak's visit to Pristina is more in line with his efforts to implement the Brussels and Ohrid agreements. However, he adds that without a clear and balanced sequence for the implementation of the agreement, he does not expect such a thing to happen.Meanwhile, Demhasaj considers that despite Lajcak's visit to Kosovo, there is no indication that the situation is moving towards a solution regarding the ban on the use of the Serbian dinar.
On Tuesday, Lajcak stayed in Kosovo, where he met with the deputy prime minister, Besnik Bislimi. After the meeting, he said that they would like to see more progress in the implementation of the Brussels and Ohrid agreement.
According to him, this agreement, which days ago has been 1 year since signing, is the best deal that Kosovo and Serbia can reach. In addition, he announced that they also discussed the issue of the Serbian dinar, while warning that very soon there will be a meeting of the chief negotiators in Brussels.Meanwhile, according to the government communique, Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi, in a meeting with Lajcak, emphasized that the CBK Regulation is not part of the dialogue with Serbia, while he stressed the need to implement the basic Kosovo-Serbia agreement.
