Kurti on health insurance: It should not be seen as a magic wand
The Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, has stated that the Law on health insurance is being prepared, stressing that when it is implemented, it will be an additional cost for the citizens, "to be paid once, so that they don't have to pay later".
Kurti said that health insurance should not be seen as a kind of "magic wand".
Meanwhile, the Minister of Health, Arben Vitia, has added that all these renovations that are being done at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo, are also being done with the purpose of the Law on health insurance, since according to him, you cannot ask the citizens 3.5 per cent more of their salary, if they do not have new and proper services.
From 2011, the Ministry of Health tried to start the implementation of this system in three phases, which were intended to be implemented by 2020. However, this system has not been implemented. /A. Shala/
