The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, while speaking briefly about the dialogue, said that Kosovo and Serbia now have an agreement, not just dialogue.

Kurti did not comment on the meeting he held yesterday with the Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, James O'Brien.

After the meeting, a press release issued by the Government of Kosovo stated that the topic of discussion at this meeting was the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue and the need for Milan Radoicic's handover to Kosovo.

This brief comment was made by the country's Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, after the launching ceremony of the Council of Europe project "Promoting social cohesion by strengthening minority rights and minority languages".

Regarding the project, Kurti stated that Kosovo has made significant progress for minorities in Kosovo.

While saying that there is a lot of work ahead, Kurti also listed some of the actions they have taken as executive for equal access.

The Director of Equal Rights and Dignity of the Council of Europe, Jeroen Schokkenbroek, stated that human rights are at the heart of the Council of Europe’s mission, therefore he emphasized that in this complex world the protection of human rights is more important than ever.

According to him, through such initiatives the aim is to build an inclusive society.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Council of Europe Office in Prishtina, Mary Ann Hennessey, while unveiling the objectives of the project, said that it aims to strengthen institutional capacities for respecting minority rights.

She stressed that the “Together” project in social cohesion by strengthening the rights of national minorities aims to provide education opportunities in the minority language.
