The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, today paid homage at the "Heroines" memorial in Pristina. From there, Kurti commemorated about 20,000 women and girls, but also men and boys who were raped by Serb forces during the recent war in Kosovo. Kurti spoke about the role and contribution of women in all historical processes and beyond. He also expressed gratitude to Vasfije Krasniqi, who encouraged many women to follow her example and testify about Serbia's crime. According to him, the government is always by the victims who survived the war in Kosovo from sexual rape, while it has inquired about the stories because the truth helps everyone.
