In a press conference after the meeting with the Irish Prime Minister, Leo Varadkar, Kurti said that he is insisting on signing the agreement with Serbia, but that, according to him, Belgrade is not ready to do such a thing.
The Head of the Government has asked the EU to react to the violations that Serbia is making against the basic agreement.
Prime Minister Kurti requested that the issue of the Association's draft statute not be separated, as he said, from the package of the basic agreement.Kurti added that Milan Radojicic should surrender and not remain free in Serbia.
Asked about the ban on the introduction of Serbian goods, Kurti said that all of this is in accordance with the security situation.
He said that the security conditions in Kosovo and the border with Serbia are still not good.He also said that Ireland is a supporter of Kosovo both in the Council of Europe and for EU membership, as he added that the two countries have close ties with the USA.
Kurti also said that Kosovo and Ireland have many similarities, starting from the close ties we have with the USA.
