In marking the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture, the Kosovo Center for the Rehabilitation of Torture Survivors (KRCT) brings to the attention of local and international public opinion the need to respect human rights in places of deprivation of liberty. According to a KRCT communiqué, this is of particular importance especially in this period when Kosovo is on the verge of ratification of the agreement for the transfer of prisoners from Denmark to Kosovo, the implications of which will have an impact not only on this group prisoners but in the entire correctional system of Kosovo in the future.
