The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, submitted the application of Kosovo to the European Union to the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Kurti in Prague, Czech Republic, first held a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Jan Lipavsky.

Then, Prime Minister Kurti was received by the Minister for European Affairs of the Czech Republic, Mikulas Bek.

The handover ceremony will be accompanied by a joint conference of Prime Minister Kurti and the Minister for European Affairs of the Czech Republic, Mikulas Bek.

On the other hand, on Wednesday Kosovo took the official step towards membership in the European Union, with the signing of the application for membership of Kosovo in the EU.

The heads of state have considered this to be a historical moment that paves the way for the beginning of the process of membership and integration of Kosovo in the European Union.
