Kearns: Association cannot be made by external pressure
The British MP Alicia Kearns gave a speech during the debate on security in the Western Balkans in the British Parliament. She spoke about the attack in Banjska, Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe, the association, and the threats of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
Kearns has announced that the US has completed a report on those responsible for the attack in Banjska, which has not yet been published. She said that this report should be published in order to know the truth about the attack for which Milan Radojicic, already wanted by Interpol and who is free in Serbia, was responsible.
The British MP said that Kosovo has fulfilled its democratic obligations and its membership in the Council of Europe would mark a historical moment, while regarding the formation of the association of Serbian municipalities, she said that there cannot be another Serbian republic in the Balkans.
She emphasized that Great Britain should take a more active role in the peace talks and engage in the five EU states that do not recognize Kosovo's sovereignty to help Kosovo towards EU and NATO membership.
