The ambassador of the United States of America in Kosovo, Jeffrey Hovenier, has said that he expects the full implementation of the Ohrid agreement between Kosovo and Serbia.
Hovenier, in a short statement before the media on Monday, said that yesterday they gave their opinion on the elections in the four northern municipalities.
It is emphasized that the US position on the snap elections in North Mitrovica, Leposavic, Zubin Potok and Zvecan were in accordance with the constitutional and legal requirements of Kosovo."Yesterday we gave a position, there the need for the full implementation of the Ohrid agreement is emphasized and we expect that", he said.
Hovenier made this comment after participating in the signing of several agreements of understanding between the University of Iowa and several public universities in Kosovo for the launch of the USAID-supported activity of partnership with the private sector to strengthen higher education.
