The US Ambassador to Kosovo, Jeffrey Hovenier, has met with the Minister for Return and Communities, at the same time the chairman of the Serbian List, Goran Rakic. Hovenier, after the meeting, said that he informed the chairman of the Serbian List, the position of the USA on the government's decisions on the incoming declaration sheets for persons with documents from Serbia, as well as on the conversion of license plates. According to him, the decisions are in accordance with the Brussels agreement. " We talked about the importance of de-escalating some of these issues. I reminded him some of the U.S. positions on some of these issues that include the reciprocity measures that the government of Kosovo has wanted to put in, from our perspective are consistent with the Brussels agreements and send legitimate to be carried out. But we also talked about the importance of ensuring that the concerns of the Kosovo Serb community are factored into these conversations and are an element of how things proceed," said Hovenier. After the meeting at the Ministry of Return and Communities, Ambassador Hovenier also mentioned the position regarding Milan Radoicic, sanctioned by the American authorities, and the importance of continuing the dialogue.
