There are five locations in Kosovo that by order of the prosecution are being searched to find the remains of missing persons. However, the Government Committee considers that there are even more locations in Serbia, where it is suspected that the remains of over 1,600 missing people are in mass graves. During this year, 21 mortal remains were identified, of which 19 mortal remains of Albanians and two Serbs. The opening of Serbia's state archives is being considered important for clarifying the fate of the missing persons.
