Following the announcement and scheduling of early parliamentary elections for the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo on 7 June 2026, the Central Election Commission (CEC) adopted several decisions as part of the initial preparations for organizing these elections.

At this meeting, the CEC approved deadlines and adopted the plan of activities for the organization of the early elections for the Assembly of Kosovo, which includes, among other things: the declaration by political parties of participation or non-participation in the elections; the declaration by political parties on forming coalitions; applications for certification of political entities; submission and verification of candidate lists; the election campaign period; designation of polling centers, including diplomatic missions; voter registration within and outside Kosovo; the postal and diplomatic voting period; certification of the voter list; accreditation of observers and media; as well as the appointment of members of the 38 Municipal Election Commissions and polling station councils.
