The deputy chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lutfi Haziri, says that the draft statute of the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority, proposed by the Euro-American diplomats, has many problems. He emphasizes that the main concerns are the reference to resolution 1244 in the preamble of the document as well as the arbitration commission. According to him, the least that can happen based on this document is the creation of a third level of power and the internal division of Kosovo. However, Haziri points out that the Constitutional Court must give the final verdict on the compatibility of this draft with the Constitution.

In an interview for KosovaPress, Haziri also talks about President Osmani's invitation of the opposition parties to discuss the Association, the implementation of the license plate agreement, energy, and the new LDK Presidency.

Commenting on the various statements of the heads of state regarding the draft of the Association, Haziri says that they are deliberately making different statements publicly to create confusion, but basically, they are in a political position.

According to the deputy chairman of LDK, the implementation of the Brussels and Ohrid agreement is happening on the ground. He mentions the issue of vehicle license plates and energy as an initial stage, as he says that now the expectations are with the Government regarding the Association.

He adds that the LDK will respond positively to the invitation of President Osmani to discuss the draft statute of the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority.

Regarding the recent elections in LDK and the new leadership, Haziri says that people were chosen based on merit and results for the future.

Commenting on the criticism of some of the exponents of the LDK, such as the case with the member Valon Murtezaj, Haziri emphasizes that people like him are still valuable in the LDK, but their contribution should be made in other positions within the party.
