In the proceedings of the 29th Convention of the General Assembly of the Alliance of Balkan News Agencies (ABNA), which this year is being held in Prishtina under the organization of KosovaPress News Agency, the importance of introducing tourism through the media and the possibilities for cooperation that may exist between public institutions for tourism and the media are also being discussed.

Argjentina Grazhdani, director of the PPSE project of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, which deals with the promotion of employment in the tourism and food processing sector, highlighted Kosovo's great wealth as a destination, which can be better presented in the local media. "Tourism has changed a lot because of COVID-19. We are now seeing the importance of new destination promotion strategies, including new destinations like Kosovo. Following the pandemic situation, Kosovo turned its attention to regional and Diaspora tourists. Here, the media can play a very big role in promoting tourism and especially in publishing human stories", she said. She also spoke about the differences between mass tourism and sustainable tourism. "Sustainable tourism is more experience-oriented. On the other hand, tourism is very relevant for the employment of women", she said. The 29th ABNA Assembly and Conference is supported by the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation SDC.
