According to the analysis carried out, the Kurti Government has not brought any new recognition to the country, while the need for long-term elections has been emphasized, since according to the GLPS, short-term solutions damage Kosovo's integration path.
Njomza Arifi, program manager at GLPS, has listed the achievements and setbacks of the three-year government of the Prime Minister, Albin Kurti. She said that the third year of the government continues to be characterized by the phenomenon of the positions of acting officials exceeding in most cases even the legal deadlines.
Arifi has said that during this year there has been continuous criticism of the executive's tendency to interfere in the justice system, through public statements against the judiciary and the prosecution for which he said that one of the main documents in the field of the rule of law remains the National Strategy for the Rule of Law 2021-2026.
She also said that as far as the State Bureau fo Verification and Confiscation of Unjustified Assets is concerned, there has been no movement in this direction since the same draft law was sent to the Constitutional Court for constitutionality assessment, already a year ago.GLPS also demands clarification as soon as possible of the scandal that leaked in the media regarding the purchase of state reserves during this third year of government.
On the other hand, the executive director of GLPS, Arbëresha Loxha-Stublla, has criticized the Government on the proposed amendments to the Law on Public Officials (LZP).
GLPS also emphasizes that the integration of Kosovo Serb citizens remains essential, adding that it falls on the government's responsibility to develop a strategy aimed at the integration of the Kosovo Serb community, offering economic, social and political incentives.
