The Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Donika Gërvalla, said that the regional initiative now named "Open Balkan" is dangerous and through it, the impression that the region has another alternative on the path to the European Union is created. In a joint conference with her counterpart in Skopje, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, said that there is no need for such regional initiatives as long as the states are already part of the Berlin Process, and according to her, the opening of parallel initiatives, does not represent something new.

A day after Albania, Northern Macedonia and Serbia signed an agreement on a regional initiative, known as the Balkan mini-Schengen, but yesterday it was renamed as "Open Balkan", the Kosovo Foreign Minister has once again shown the government's stance against this initiative.
