The Kosovar boxing team is not being able to participate in the World Championship that is being held in Belgrade, Serbia, as the latter is not allowing the Kosovar team to cross the state border. Kosovar boxers together with coaches have been denied entry to Serbia three times in a row, causing officials from the International Boxing Federation and the European Union to react, KosovaPress reports. Today, the German ambassador to Kosovo, Jorn Rohde, reacted to this scandal, pointing out that this is an example of a "Closed Balkans". "Lasting reconciliation between societies begins with intellectual, cultural, sporting and artistic exchanges. Such exchanges are essential to building mutual understanding", Rohde said on his Twitter account.
