The head of MPs of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Arben Gashi, said that the government should have accept the request of the international partners to postpone the deadline for 10 months for the implementation of the decision on license plates. According to Gashi, as a result of Prime Minister Kurti's actions, today there are fewer policemen and judges and prosecutors in the northern part of the country.
Gashi: Kurti had to accept the request of
internationals to postpone the deadline for license plates
"The clear request of the international partners for a 10-month postponement of an issue which is not a priority for the world, or for Kosovo to be honest, was a request that should have been accepted by the Prime Minister of Kosovo. While the world is threatened by a nuclear war, they don't have time to deal with license plates in the north of Kosovo. I understand that it is sensitive, I understand that the state of Kosovo must function in part of the territory, but with the action of the prime minister, today we have less state presence in the northern part of Kosovo, we have less police in the northern part of Kosovo, today there are no prosecutors and judges in the northern part of Kosovo, today there are no mayors in the northern part of Kosovo, today there are no assemblymen in the northern part of Kosovo and we must be responsible and conscious in what we do", said Gashi.
Gashi has said that LDK strongly stands in
defense of the territorial integrity and state interest, adding that they
strongly stand in support of law enforcement institutions.
