From today, non-legal Serbian driver's licenses can be converted to Kosovo ones

Driver's licenses of non-legal Serbian structures can be converted into driver's licenses of the Republic of Kosovo from today and will last until August 9 of this year.

According to the announcement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, all citizens who possess a driver's license issued by non-legal Serbian structures can apply for an official driver's license of the Republic of Kosovo by applying the electronic form on the website https://patentshoferonline.rks-gov.net/ or also physically at the Center for Equipment with Documents in all municipalities of Kosovo.

"In case of physical appearance for application at the counters of the Centers for Equipment with Documents, citizens must possess the following documents: 1. ID card of the Republic of Kosovo, 2. Original driver's license issued by the Serbian authorities, 3. Certificate of health status for equipment with a driver's license, 3.1 The health certificate is issued by health institutions licensed by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kosovo throughout the territory of the Republic of Kosovo; 3.2 The price for a health certificate varies by the category of the vehicle for which the driver's license is held and as follows: For category B/BE the price of the health certificate is twenty euros (€20.00); For category C and category D, the price of the health certificate is fifty euros (€50.00). Proof of payment of the tax, the value of which is fifteen euros (€15.00) and the original driver's license issued by UNMIK or RKS if the application is made for the addition of categories, which is also made possible through this decision of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The procedure for equipment with a driver's license of the Republic of Kosovo lasts fifteen days. The driver's license issued by the Serbian structures is returned to the applicant as an invalid document and the same is equipped with the driver's license of the Republic of Kosovo", reads the announcement.
