Kosovar judo has not stopped with successes in the international arena, where today a medal was won, this time at the Tel Aviv Grand Slam that is taking place in Israel.

It is the judoka Laura Fazliu, who secured the bronze medal for Kosovo from this tournament, exactly on the day when our country marks the 15th anniversary of Independence, KosovaPress reports.

In the fight for bronze, in the category up to 63 kilograms, Fazliu defeated the judoka from Israel, Gili Sharir.

Meanwhile, in her journey to the bronze, Fazliu started the first round with a victory by defeating the British, Gemma Howell, while in the second she scored a victory against the Hungarian Brigitta Varga, while in the quarterfinals she was defeated by the Canadian, Catherine Pinard-Beauchemin .

Fazliu continued the competition in the repechage, where in the first round she defeated the Olympic champion of Tokyo 2020, the French, Clarisse Agbegnenou.

In the repechage final, Fazliu secured the bronze with a victory over Gili Sharir.
