After about 20 days of treatment in Intensive Care at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo, a 23-year-old girl, Elza Ujkani, who suffered serious injuries as a result of the collapse of the roof in the new Municipality building in Prishtina, has been sent to the Neurosurgery Clinic to continue the medication.

Yesterday (Monday), after it was assessed by the medical staff that the patient's condition is not life-threatening, it was decided that she will continue medical treatment at the Neurosurgery Clinic.

This is what Shaqir Uka, the head of Central Intensive Care Medicine at UCCK, told KosovaPress.

He said that the condition of the 23-year-old woman was stable and out of danger for her life, so this was also the reason why she was released from the intensive care unit to continue in Neurosurgery.

Likewise, the director of the Neurosurgery Clinic at UCCK, Besnik Elshani told KosovaPress that considering the condition of the patient, her age and the professionalism of the medical staff, he considers that the patient will recover very quickly.

Elshani emphasized that after the patient's admission to this clinic, she underwent additional radiological and laboratory analyses, for which he added that they are also taking care of her rehabilitation in the physiotherapeutic aspect.

On January 18, a 23-year-old girl received serious injuries as a result of the collapse of the roof in the building of the new Municipality in Prishtina. She was first treated at the Emergency Center at UCCK, then sent to Intensive Care to continue the treatment.

Meanwhile, the municipality said that the first suspicions are that the collapse of the roof occurred as a result of strong winds that day, whereas investigations are continuing. /Z. Zeneli/
