The MP of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo Shemsedin Dreshaj has stated that Kosovo continues to remain the only country in Europe and the region without real health insurance, for which he said that there was hope in this matter only in 2014.

In the extraordinary session where the proposal-resolution on the state of health and health insurance is being discussed, Dreshaj said that only Somalia is in a similar situation as Kosovo. As he considered that the country should have the health law as soon as possible.

He also said that regarding the situation with the number of employees, the Health Insurance Fund of Kosovo is comparatively much worse than all the countries in the region. For which he said that also this year there has been no increase in this number.

Dreshaj also said that the situation with the physical infrastructure has stalled.

According to him, the fact that after June, we will enter the narrow period of parliamentary elections, will have a strong influence in this direction, while he added that in this form, interest and commitment will fall.

Among other things, he added that the financing of the health sector, at least according to the current law, will be realized in a mixed form from the budget and contributions. The extraordinary session has been proposed by the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK).
