The spokesperson of the European Union, Peter Stano, has mentioned the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia as the greatest emergency.
"The priority and the agenda, in fact, is determined by the greater urgency of starting the implementation of the agreement on the path to the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia", he said, adding that the EU will help both sides to achieve normalization of relations.
"I asked for guarantees, the first is the signing of the basic agreement, which brings legal certainty and cancels the earlier violations. The second guarantee is the withdrawal of the letter of former Prime Minister Ana Bernabiq. The third guarantee I asked for is the handover of the master criminal Milan Radojicic and his terrorist group to the Kosovo authorities", said Kurti.
Otherwise, the outgoing head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, has asked for courage, vision, and political will of the leaders of both sides to continue the dialogue process for unblocking the path to the European future, as well as strengthening security and stability in the region."The expectations of the EU and member countries will not change. Kosovo-Serbia obligations will not disappear", said Borrell.
Borrell will leave his position after the end of his term, meanwhile it has been announced that in his place at the Thursday summit in Brussels after the European Parliament elections, the Spanish diplomat will be succeeded by the outgoing Prime Minister of Estonia, Kaja Kallas, who will also serve as vice president of the European Commission.
