The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has launched the awareness campaign against celebratory shootings "Celebrate with your heart, not your gun". The purpose of this campaign is to raise collective awareness and prevent the use of weapons in illegal environments.

The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Blerim Gashani, while emphasizing the mission of this institution, pledged that they will advance the level of security in Kosovo and at the same time improve the quality of life for citizens.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Donika Gërvalla has said that the Kosovo Police is doing professional work in this direction, while appealing to all citizens to respect the law.

The representative of the European Union, Annemarie Douwes, has said that it is of great importance to raise the awareness of citizens to prevent this negative phenomenon. While has emphasized the support of the EU in this direction.

The representative of the Kosovo Police, Arbnesh Ajvazi, has underlined that they are working in this direction to stop the use of weapons in illegal premises, while he has also shown the number of confiscation of weapons that were used illegally.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has appealed to all citizens to avoid using firearms during family holidays in order to prevent disasters. Shooting firearms at parties and celebrations is a criminal offense and is punishable by law.
