The Central Election Commission (CEC) has received the requests for the verification of the signatures collected in the municipalities: North Mitrovica, Zveçan, Leposaviq and Zubin Potok, for the removal of the mayors.

This is what the spokesperson of the CEC, Valmir Elezi, told KosovaPress, adding that in accordance with the legislation in force, the list of signatures will be verified.

"I can confirm that today we also received the requests for verification of the signatures collected in the municipalities: North Mitrovica, Zveçan, and Leposaviq. Meanwhile, as we have announced, we have previously received the same request from Zubin Potok. The CEC, in accordance with the legislation in force, will verify the list of signatures, i.e., if the signatories are citizens with the right to vote in the respective municipality", he said.
