The Chamber of Doing Business in Kosovo Chamber of Commerce (CDBK) has welcomed the decision of the Government of Kosovo for new measures under the Emergency Package, which aims to increase support for citizens.

The CDBK proposes that the value presented by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo in the amount of 100 euros for all categories, be given in the form of coupons - vouchers and the same be used to purchase local products in markets. “In this way, the contribution will be in a chain way, supporting local producers and maintaining the growth of the number of employees, taking into account the very difficult situation in employment and the demand to leave the country. The CDBK urges the Government of Kosovo to take this recommendation into account, in order to overcome the situation created more easily and to help the country's economy from a potential collapse, given the difficulties that businesses are facing every day from the current situation. in the world”, it is said in a press release of the CDBK. Prime Minister Albin Kurti has presented today the new measures to support all pensioners and employees of the private and public sector with 100 euros each for April. Pensioners will receive 100 euros, including all persons receiving a basic pension, a contributory pension, a pension for the disabled and a veteran pension. About 300 thousand private sector workers and about 80 thousand public officials will be supported in the amount of 100 euros, whereas 40 thousand food packages will be distributed to families in need, the implementation of which has already begun. Also within this emergency package, according to the Government of the Republic of Kosovo all students will be supported in the amount of 100 euros (about 80 thousand students). The total cost for these measures is over 100 million euros. According to the Government, this package will be applied during April, and from this package about 800 thousand citizens or practically every family in the Republic of Kosovo will benefit.
