Calls for the dismissal of prosecutor Ruhan Salihu and chief prosecutor Kujtim Munishi
The Collective for Feminist Thought and Action, during the action held today in front of the Prosecution Council, asked the Prosecution Council to dismiss the prosecutor Ruhan Salihu and the chief prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution in Prishtina, Kujtim Munishi, calling them guilty for the rape of the 11-year-old.
Anita Mjeku, an activist, has said that
they will continue to protest until their demands are met, while saying that
the Prosecutor's Office and the Prosecution Council are crime zones.
According to her, the Basic Prosecutor's
Office in Pristina is complicit in the rape of an 11-year-old minor in August
2022. She said that in June of the same year, the minor had reported the rape
by 6 men, this case which has been treated by Ruhan Salihu.
While she expressed concern about the fact
that Ruhan Salihu is still a prosecutor. Mjeku said that Ruhan Salihu is known
as a Prosecutor who neglects cases, while he also mentioned another case of an
11-year-old child who ended up murderd, as a result of the institutions'
neglect.
