Blair: NATO's intervention was the right thing, Osmani calls him the hero of Kosovo
The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has called the former Prime Minister of Great Britain, Tony Blair, a hero of Kosovo. Osmani said that Blair's role was decisive for the liberation of Kosovo 25 years ago. She underlined that the Great Britain led by Blair, together with NATO's allied forces, saved the people of Kosovo from the extermination that was intended by the genocidal regime of Milosevic.
Osmani, in a statement to the media after the meeting with the former Prime Minister of Great Britain, said that Kosovo today is one of the most successful legacies and the lessons that the protection of peace, freedom, and democracy are the pillars of civilization.
On the other hand, the former Prime Minister of Great Britain, Tony Blair, said that NATO's intervention in Kosovo was the right thing to do.
He said that now the democratic countries should stand by the people of Kosovo so that the future of Kosovo, as an independent and sovereign state, takes its place in the international mechanisms.
