Alarming, year after year the number of young people in Kosovo who intend to leave the country is increasing, as they do not see a future, they do not see any possibility in Kosovo.

This situation is getting worse year after year, said the advisor for Vocational Education and Training (AAP), Majlinda Rizvanolli-Bajraktari during the first panel within the regional conference, with the topic: "The importance of vocational education and training and the connection with the labor market".

Bajraktari emphasized that the Government prioritizes the treatment of vocational education and training, to give hope to young people.

"We know that we have a great potential, the youth of Kosovo constitute a large percentage, so on the one hand we consider it as potential, but as a government, we must make solutions for these young people, so that they can find a job in the labor market. The current situation in Kosovo is getting worse from year to year, young people dream of leaving our country and do not see any possibility in Kosovo, and they see no future. As the Minister of Education, and as a government, we think that vocational education and training can be that formula, which will give hope to the young people of Kosovo so that they can find a job in the labor market. The reason why we have this situation in Kosovo means that there was a hesitation from both sides for cooperation, from the labor market and from the government institutions", she said.

She emphasized that vocational education and training cannot be successful if there is no real cooperation between the private sector and government institutions.

Meanwhile, Lulzim Aliu, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of North Macedonia said that they have accredited programs for many profiles for the preparation of new professional staff that will serve companies for qualified workers.

Aliu said that compared to Kosovo, North Macedonia is a step ahead for dual education.

"Compared to Kosovo, we in North Macedonia are one step ahead, not that we have established dual education throughout the country, but we are on the right path, and we have taken a significant step because if we compare the statistics of the two recent years, last school year we had 90 parallels with dual education, with 1,400 students, and for this, of course, cooperation with various private sector companies is necessary, and the credit for this goes to the chambers of commerce. Meanwhile, this school year, this number has increased significantly", he said.

Mladen Peraziq, director of the Education Sector in the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro, said that compared to the past, in Montenegro there are professional staff that enable companies to have modern competitive products.

"Now the number of companies that have become aware that they will be part of globalization has increased, and they see the need to have such frameworks, for the reason that their products are competitive. Therefore, for this reason, they see the need to employ qualified professionals, and to some extent they have managed to do this, compared to the past", he said.
