Two days after the tragedy in Prishtina, where a young man lost his life and a woman was seriously injured as a result of being hit by a tree, the Municipality has taken several actions to prevent further dangers. According to the announcement of the municipality, the teams today identified and removed the damaged trees that pose a danger to citizens. “The Municipality of Prishtina through Horticulture and the Supervisory Body is in a continuous process of identifying and removing damaged trees which pose a potential risk as a result of severe weather conditions, as well as pruning some of them to avoid the risk of power cables. Until now, cuts and pruning have been done in the streets 'Abedin Rexha' and in the 'City Park'", it is said in the announcement. It is also announced that the Municipality plans to do the same in Taukbahqe, in the streets "Simon Shiroka" in the city center and "Jonuz Zejnullahu", as well as in other places where they can pose a danger to citizens.
