The Presidency of Kosovo sees the convening of the Assembly of Kosovo as a state emergency.
“The Presidency considers the swift establishment of institutions resulting from the will of the people to be a state emergency. In this period of dynamic developments on the continent and global challenges that also affect our region, the rapid formation of new institutions in accordance with the procedures outlined in the Constitutional Court’s ruling is vital for stability, democratic representation, and addressing the interests of citizens,” the Presidency stated to KosovaPress.
Meanwhile, the constitutive session of the Assembly of Kosovo will continue tomorrow at 11:00.
This session comes after the full publication of the Constitutional Court’s ruling on the deadlock in the Assembly.
The Presidency emphasized that the delay in constituting the Assembly so far has harmed not only the credibility of institutions and the country’s development but also Kosovo’s progress on the international stage.
The Presidency has called on all deputies to act with full responsibility, in a spirit of cooperation and good faith.
