The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) has stated that it has no agreement with the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) or any other political party in Prishtina regarding a governing coalition.
In a statement, LDK said it has not participated in any inter-party process for a political governing agreement so far.
“LDK has its own party structures, local and broader decision-making bodies, and these structures have not been part of any governing agreement,” the statement said, issued on Tuesday following recent claims about a possible LDK–PDK coalition in Prishtina.
Full statement:
LDK informs the public that it has no agreement with PDK or any other political party in Prishtina for joint governance. LDK has not participated in any inter-party process for any political governing agreement to date.
LDK has its own party structures, local decision-making bodies and beyond; and these structures have not been part of any governing agreement.
Any other agreement does not represent the official position of the Democratic League of Kosovo. As such, it does not create political obligations for LDK and cannot be considered its organized will. Other parties and political entities are well aware of how inter-party agreements are built with LDK: through official structures, transparency, and institutional decision-making. Any attempt to bypass this process does not constitute an agreement with LDK.
On other local issues, LDK will engage after the national elections. At this stage, LDK and its membership are fully engaged in a process of joint renewal. No other agenda can overshadow this commitment.
