The Central Election Commission (CEC) is ready to organize new elections if they are called, although the process may pose challenges due to tight timelines.
The CEC spokesperson, Valmir Elezi, told KosovaPress that organizing a new electoral process for the Assembly of Kosovo immediately after the conclusion of the last elections presents a challenge for the institution and its staff.
According to him, despite the difficulties, the CEC is obliged to act in accordance with its constitutional and legal mandate.“Organizing a new and early electoral process for the Assembly of Kosovo within a short period after the conclusion of the elections certainly poses a challenge for the CEC and its staff. However, as a permanent institution whose main duty is the organization of elections, the CEC will take all necessary measures to organize new elections whenever required,” Elezi stated.
