I pray a lot for my poor – and for me and my sisters. I pray for you”, these are the words of St. Mother Teresa that we remember on the anniversary of her birth.
The Albanian Nobel Laureate Gonxhe Bojaxhiu – Mother Teresa was born on August 26, 1910 in Skopje, which was then part of the Vilayet of Kosovo in the Ottoman Empire. After living in Macedonia for eighteen years, she moved to Ireland and then to India, where she lived most of her life.
