The Central Election Commission (CEC) has deregistered the Republican Party for Change (PRN) and Democratic Hope (SHD) today.
Political parties are required to submit the registration renewal form to the Office for Registration, Certification, and Financial Control of Political Subjects every year by March 31. However, these two political parties failed to do so.
At the CEC meeting, the Secretary-General, Besnik Buzhala, stated that the two political parties, PRN and SHD, had been suspended for 15 days due to their failure to submit the annual financial report for 2024.
“Political parties are required to submit the registration renewal form to the office by March 31 each year. Regarding this, out of the 54 registered political subjects, two parties have not submitted the renewal form. In accordance with the applicable legal acts, the Office recommends to the CEC to deregister the two political parties, PRN and SHD. Additionally, these two political subjects have been suspended for 15 days due to their failure to submit the annual financial report for the period of 2024,” said Buzhala.
Also, in today’s CEC meeting, the replacement of two assembly members in the Municipal Assemblies of Ferizaj and Skenderaj was approved. The elected deputy on February 9, Arbnore Salihu, will be replaced by Vanesa Salihu in the Ferizaj Municipal Assembly.
