Kinolli states that his party is constructive in their approach, without red lines towards any party

The leader of the United Roma Party of Kosovo, Albert Kinolli, after a meeting with the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, stated that the meeting was constructive and that they would contribute to the establishment of the new government, KosovaPress reports.

Kurti’s meeting with Kinolli was part of a series of meetings the LVV leader has held in the past two days with political parties from the non-majority communities in the country.

“We had a constructive meeting with Kurti to be part of the next government. We, as a political Roma subject, the United Roma Party of Kosovo, have traditionally tried to be as constructive and creative as possible, and to contribute to the formation of the new government, which the citizens of Kosovo are in great need of, since this process has been prolonged. I think we are now close to a good conclusion,” he emphasized.

As an elected deputy in the Kosovo Assembly, Kinolli said they have no red lines for any political subject.

He added that they have asked the leader of the Vetevendosje Movement, Albin Kurti, to treat their community equally, KosovaPress writes.

“We have no red lines for any political subject, and by respecting the electoral result and considering that the Vetevendosje Movement is the winner of these elections, we had a very constructive and open meeting. Therefore, we presented our requests, and one of the main ones was that since we are represented in the Kosovo Assembly by one deputy, we should be treated equally and in a dignified manner, just like all political subjects who are aligned with us… We are waiting for April 15th, and we believe that Prime Minister Kurti will have the necessary numbers, and in this context, we will also give our maximum for the formation of the government and hope that we will be part of it,” he stated.

When asked if they would vote for a government formed by opposition parties, Kinolli said that they would discuss this matter after April 15th, when the constitutive session of the Kosovo Assembly will be held.
