In its fifth edition, the Rame Lahaj International Opera Festival will, for the first time, collaborate with the Symphony Orchestra of Albanian Radio and Television (RTSH), with the support of the Prime Minister’s Office of the Albanian Government. Considered one of the most prestigious institutions in the country, the RTSH Symphony Orchestra will perform at the Gala Evening “Rame Lahaj & Friends” on August 2, under the baton of Maestro Roberto Rizzi Brignoli.
The RTSH Symphony Orchestra was founded on May 16, 1962 and holds the high honorary title “Honor of the Nation”, awarded by the President of Albania in 2017. The creation of this musical ensemble marked a new era and had an extraordinary impact on the cultural and artistic development of Albania. Initially known as the Symphony Orchestra of Radio and Cinematography, it was formed primarily by young musicians educated in the country, as well as professionals specialized in various European countries.
Art is the purest form of freedom, and while borders between Albania and Kosovo may exist on paper and maps, they have never been—and never will be—a barrier to cooperation and the free flow of art.
