Anita Rachvelishvili, opera world star, performs tonight as part of the Rame Lahaj International Opera Festival

The Kosovar public will have the privilege of experiencing one of the greatest voices of the global opera stage. Georgian mezzosoprano Anita Rachvelishvili is coming to Prishtina for the first time to perform as part of the 5th edition of the Rame Lahaj International Opera Festival (RLIOF).

The concert will take place this evening at 20:30 in the outdoor space of the National Library in Prishtina. Accompanied by the RLIOF Festival Ensemble and under the direction of maestro Nikoloz Rachveli, Rachvelishvili will perform arias and well-known songs from a carefully selected repertoire, sharing with the audience the energy that has made her renowned on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, such as La Scala, The Met, and the Paris Opera.

This event marks another success of RLIOF’s mission: to bring operatic art closer to the public and to position Kosovo on the global map of operatic art, under this year’s inspiring motto: “Dreams without borders, Opera without walls!”

The festival will conclude with the Gala Evening “Rame Lahaj & Friends”, to be held on August 2 at Skënderbeu Square, starting at 20:30. The event will feature major international stars such as soprano Nino Machaidze, bass Dario Russo, and Kosovo’s own tenor Rame Lahaj, accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra of Albanian Radio and Television, under the baton of maestro Roberto Rizzi Brignoli. /KosovaPress
