In the last two weeks of August, over 100 seminarians from all over the world will participate in the International Seminar on Albanian Language, Literature and Culture. This year marks the 40th edition of the seminar, where lectures will be held by foreign and local Albanianologists. This year’s edition will start on Monday and will end on August 26.
The director of the seminar, Shkumbin Munishi, in the interview for KosovaPress, says that since 1974, when the seminar began to be organized, Prishtina and Kosovo become the center of Albanianology.
“This year’s edition of the International Seminar on Albanian Language, Literature and Culture is the 40th jubilee edition. So, there are forty editions of the seminar that have been held so far. It is a jubilee edition and, in this sense, it is an indicator of an already established tradition of the seminar, as one of the most important events in the field of Albanian studies, but also in the teaching of the Albanian language. Since it is the jubilee edition, this year we made an effort to invite different personalities, Albanologists from different countries of the world who will be participants in this year’s edition”, he says to KosovaPress.
The seminarians will be accommodated in the dormitories of the Student Center of the University of Pristina. In addition to the lectures of prominent Albanologists, language courses will also be held twice a day.
