U.S. Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, congratulated the people of Kosovo on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of Independence.
“The United States remains unwavering in its support for Kosovo’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and we look forward to expanding the economic ties that will enhance the prosperity of both our nations,” reads Secretary Rubio’s congratulatory message, published by the U.S. Department of State.
Rubio also appreciated Kosovo’s support in U.S. efforts to address global challenges and, as he added, welcomed its leadership as a Founding Member of the Peace Board.
“As Kosovo marks this important anniversary, we look forward to even stronger cooperation in the years ahead. The United States stands with Kosovo as it continues to build a secure and prosperous future,” the U.S. Secretary of State’s message stated.
