Peci: Nothing has changed regarding the partnership with Nisma

Chairman of the Guxo party, Faton Peci, has said that up to this point, he is not aware of any progress regarding the establishment of a partnership with the Social Democratic Nisma, although he added that officials from the Vetëvendosje Movement had meetings with Fatmir Limaj three days ago.

Faton Peci, who ran under the LVV banner in the February 9 elections, emphasized the willingness to reach an agreement for a governing coalition with Nisma but did not respond regarding the partnership in the Assembly and the fulfillment of Limaj’s condition for the Speaker position.

Entering the Assembly building, he said their proposal for Speaker will continue to be Albulena Haxhiu, while calling on other parties in the Assembly to vote in favor of forming the Verification Committee for the secret ballot vote for the Assembly’s chairperson.

“There is ongoing communication. I am not one of those who has conducted talks and communications. But if I am given the chance to speak with each of the deputies who have not voted for the committee, I would provide part of the argument as to why Kosovo should have an Assembly and then a government… Negotiations with Social Democratic Nisma and Mr. Limaj are being conducted by LVV and Prime Minister Kurti. There were meetings some 2-3 days ago, and there were LVV actors who confirmed this. Up to this point, I am not aware that anything has moved. From the government’s perspective, we all see Nisma as a partner,” he said.
