After starting the World Judo Championship with two victories, Laura Fazliu has now reached the top eight stage of this competition.
Laura Fazliu will face the Slovenian judoka, Andreja Leski, in the quarterfinals of the Judo World Cup in Doha, Qatar, KosovaPress reports.
Until the quarter-final stage, Fazliu recorded victory in the first round against the judoka from Central Africa, Nadia Matchiko Guimendego, while in the second she defeated the Croatian Iva Obera.
Fazliu continued with victory in the third round, defeating the Brazilian Ketleyn Quadros, thus ensuring the quarterfinals of this tournament.
